The day that Pinterest gets outdone at what it's currently doing (minus the ads) will be a day to remember, indeed. Visit this board to practice in the mirror, if you'd like, or to add to your own boards. Or both. And seeing as these are all guides, remember to trust your photographer on the day of your portrait session, because even with mirrors, do any of us really know what we actually look like?
LIGHTING
While image editing is absolutely a staple in the Neat Shiny Owl portfolio, a significant portion of the style you see is actually attributed to lighting. I'm obsessed. You should be, too. Take a gander at some of what has and continues to inspire me.
